Traffic Circulation

Mitigation of traffic impacts is essential to a responsible development plan.

The proposed site circulation plan designates Doe Pass Road as the new connector from Deer Valley Drive West to Deer Valley Drive East. This would change Doe Pass from a one-lane one way road to a three-lane road with a transit center. Entries to the garages of the proposed development would be on Doe Pass Road and Deer Valley Drive East. There will be a drop off area at the Snow Park Lodge at the end of Deer Valley Drive East. The traffic flow will change. Thoughtful planning focused on traffic mitigation is imperative.

Fehr Peers April 2023 Transportation Analysis:

  • Based on the uses in the base village - residential, hotel, restaurants, retail, and recreational - there could be an additional 4,963 car trips per day. Due to transit usage, paid parking and internal capture rates, the Fehr Peers analysis includes 3,616 additional car trips per day.

  • 3,616 car trips per day equates to a 34% increase in daily traffic accessing the Snow Park base area.

  • An additional 261 AM peak hour trips and an additional 322 PM peak hour trips are anticipated.
